When Vera fires through the helmet visor, it's
actually a gas gun with a specially made muzzle
brake, not Vera at all.
Gas guns are specialist pieces of equipment used
by Special Effects techs to simulate gunfire.
A blast of gas is ignited by a pilot light taped
to the gas tube. You can see the igniter pretty
clearly in one shot.
In the shot of Vera's carry case, you can see the
other muzzle brake, also her additional magazine
which takes real 12 guage shells and the adapter
to fit it to her.
I love this prop.
