This is a pair of real, antique heart defibrillators!
The handles were wrapped in different coloured tape
for different episodes. They appear twice in 'Ariel',
once when Simon helps the heart patient, next when
Zoe zaps the Doctor. Niska's henchman revives Mal
with them in 'War Stories'. They still have the red
tape from Niska's place.
