The regimental badge of Mal's unit.
There's been a lot of talk about which way up they are supposed
to be. The printing on the back of the LT's patch Mal tears off
is oriented so the triangle is point-down, the star is
single-point up. I would take this to mean that they were
intended to be worn this way up.
Mal's is upside down. These things happen.
