There's a story behind this fella. 'Monkey Shines' originally belonged
to Skip Crank (on-set propmaster), who would wind up Joss Whedon by
making him shriek on set (he has a built-in shrieker).
The Monkey was kidnapped and held for ransom by an evil villain
(nothing to do with the nice man in the picture, apparently) who
held him captive and took him all over the USA and into Canada where
he escaped and made his way home to Skip. I will publish the full
story soon. Be assured that Monkey Shines is alive & well & living
in England.
