is machined from aluminium and
then polished to a bright finish.
The mechanism still functions and
the fins shoot out when the stud
is depressed. Unsprung, the fins
don't retract by themselves, and
Skip Crank (on-set Propmaster)
describes it as a 'Poor man's
retractable'.
